Abstract: New fungal hosts from the Basidiomycetes (Polyporaceae) are recorded for some fungus-feeding beetles from New South Wales and Queensland, Australia. Zopherosis georgei White (Zopheridae) and Byrsax macleayi Pascoe (Tenebrionidae) are recorded from the cosmopolitan fungus, Ganoderma applanatum (Fries) Karsten (Polyporaceae). Two species of Scaphidium, S. ornatum (Oberthur) and S. punctipenne Macleay (Scaphidiidae) are recorded feeding on two unidentified species of Poria (Polyporaceae), while Cis victoriensis Blackburn (Ciidae) feeds and breeds in Polystictus cinnabarinus (Jacq. ex Fries) Cooke (Polyporaceae) and Thallis erichsoni Crotch (Erotylidae) feeds on Pseudotrametes (Trametes) gibbosus (Pers) Fries (Polyporaceae). Comments on the cryptic behaviour and coloration of Z. georgei and B. macleayi are provided as well as observations on the defensive odour of B. macleayi adults.
