One of the main streets in Ekaterinburg, Russia. winter 2004. This is at about midday on a cloudy day in the middle of winter and the sky and ground actually look like its nighttime. The sun rose to this level and then retreated down again. I sometimes read about this phenomenon in books but never imagined I would witness it. Very eerie!
